6400 acres of land.

2023/2024 Change in Bear Trap Annual Assessments
Bear Trap's fiscal year runs from Sept 1 - August 31. Assessments are now $300. The raise in the assessment was voted on by the membership at the Annual meeting on August 12,2023, following a motion from the floor and a subsequent vote by the members in good standing. The constantly rising cost of fuel and road materials was the basis for the increase.. This assessment is due September 1, 2023, and if payment is not received by September 30, 2023, a $50 late fee will be charged.
Per the bylaws, Article VIII Section 4. Due Date on Assessment. The amount agreed upon by the Voting Members at the Annual Meeting shall be assessed to each property on the day of the meeting. Assessments shall be due for the next fiscal year on the 1st of September. As a courtesy, arrangements may be made to make the payment on a periodic basis by contacting the Treasurer.
There will be a $50 late fees for owners who are not current on their Association dues. (This provision can be found in the bylaws, Article VIII, Section 5 (b) (1) and (2)).
